111... actual temperature recorded at the track. Local weather almanac had the temperatures varying from 86 to 91 while the track officials announced once the track 'surface temperature' was over 140 degrees! While it was definitely very hot by east-coast standards, 30%-40% humidity with a 5 mph crosswind for a breeze did make it somewhat bearable.

With the heat wave, I didn't expect much in the way of numbers but I was proven wrong. The car was running great with a new chip from Lonnie at Blue Oval Chips. While the ET of 14.292 @ 96.8 mph was the best run of eleven trips down the quarter mile strip, all day it ran from low 14.3s to low 14.5s @ 95.x to 96.x mph, good consistent numbers IMHO for the heat of summer. :)

Sixty foot times were consistent as well from 2.111 to 2.191 seconds under what seemed to be good track conditions. The 1/8th mile numbers stayed in the 9.2s and 9.3s with trap speeds of 76.x to 77.x mph.

Reaction times were quite consistent as well being 0.0x all day up to the very end. The best RT was 0.015 seconds. The last run had the announcer bragging up the Lincoln's reaction times when what did I do? Yep, I choked and tripped the red light with an RT of -0.004 seconds! :B :7

Wow, nice times, Youre 60 foot looks like it will be down to 2.0 soon judging from the times!!!!How many times do you run a night? I only get about two to three runs in waiting in lines with the rice down here. Also letting it cool down while i munch some nachos and cheese... Although i only run on test and tune nights. Maybee i should try to run on regular nights? Nice going...I still want to visit the track up in Georgia as soon as i get back with the new tranny. It's a real 1/4 mile :eek: Something old blue has never been on....lol

I hope to improve the 60 foot times with the converter and some suspension tweaks.

My wife says I'm like a kid in an amusement park at the track, 'cause I get off the ride and get right back in line! :7

Actually, if it's crowded and I don't get there when it opens, I may only get 3 runs or so. This past weekend there was a Fun Ford event a couple hours away in Richmond, so that may have took some crowd out of it, plus it was really, really hot out.
