"New here"

I'm a new member,my first Mark was a Bill Blass Mark VII,I loved that car,my
second was a 93' Mark VIII and I had that car for about 5 years and wish I
had not have gotten rid of it,I replaced almost everything on it,but I just had to have a 98' which I have had for about 3 years,it has 98000 miles on it and things are starting to go bad on it,and now is not a good time for that, needless to say I still love it.
My new problem is she fires up fine and stays running fine, but
If I let the rpm's go to idle speed it dies, the dash lights don't flicker or head lights don't dim at all,so I'm wondering if it could be the original serpentine belt seems really ragged out and loose????Any thoughts would be great,I'd like to fix it myself.

Welcome! :)

Idle Air Control valve?

Easy fix on a Gen2.
Hey thanks Driller, that sounds like thats it,my uncle retired from FORD ayssembly, and has a 93 mint cond, and drag races with an old Stingray,is alway really short with his answers, but he was leaning torward sensors, that was all he would say.
Thanks for being more specific, any recomendations on where to get the part online with instuctions? Thanks again for your time.

Ya, the IAC valve is SUPER easy to replace and only runs about 50 bucks. If you can "idle" the car with your foot, and you let off and it dies, you've got a bad IAC valve.

#2 :D Two 8MM bolts and its off.
