I've been lurking for a while and reading the posts. LOTS of good information here.
Thought it was time I introduced myself.
I just purchased a 1998 Mark VIII CE #1011 from another member here.
I love the car.. It's going into the paint shop next week to have the front and rear bumper covers stripped and painted.
I took a clay bar to it as soon as I got it home and then took off the pinstriping and glue-on crome wheel well pieces. Other than a couple of tiny stone chips that will be repaired also, the car is perfect.

I know it's a Collectors Edition and some people frown on modifying these cars.. I can't help myself. The first thing I'll do is the Cobra hub / brake conversion. I've already found some of the parts for this and I've got my eye on some wheels for an 05 Mustang that will look good on her.

My last project car was just on the Summit Racing catalog cover for July / August. When I sold that one.. I went looking for a Mark VIII.. what a beautiful body.

Anyway... You all have a great site here and I know I'll find lots of good information.

I'll post pics when the first round of mods are done.

Welcome aboard Dean. Any one who get's their car on a Summit catalog has got to have some pretty nice equipment. I remember doing business with them when they had the quansett hut downtown, and of coarse they've moved twice since then. Look forward to seeing your car as it developes. Talk about people frownin on modding collectors editions, I wonder what they would do of they saw Jeremy's (Mad1stGen). LOL

Welcome Dean! Another midwest member.:)

A Collectors Edition. Good buy.

Modify away. Please don't paint it a different color though.:)

I'm waiting for photos. Before photos are good too.:)

Thanks for the welcome everyone...
I'm looking forward to a long relationship with the car and this group...
