My first Lincoln arrived today! It's a '98 Mark VIII Base, and I put some info about it over in the Introduction forum. But, I have a couple of stupid newbie questions.
I can't open the fuel filler door. I press the button on the driver's door I hear a 'clunk' from the rear, but when I try to manually open the door, no dice. Pressing on the fuel filler door, it has a little movement, a little slack, and pulling on it won't open it .. Before I get out the crowbar.... hehe .. has anyone had this problem or know what I'm doing wrong?
My first driving impression is great!! The thing I was the most surprised at was the handling. Firm and sweet. A more firm feeling than I expected, and I am in Luv.
I didn't get an owner's manual, so I don't know if I can turn the Traction Control on and off. The O/D button works fine as does everything else that I have played with, so far, except for the fuel filler door.
The CD changer for the JBL system has been removed from the trunk, and I knew this in advance, so for now its radio only, but I have the cure with a memory stick that holds a zillion MP3's and a cassette adapter
Now I just need FUEL!! .. HELP!!!
