Let me start out by saying HI. I'm Jason and I'm in Tampa, FL. I've recently, within the last month, picked up a pretty clean 1997 LSC Mark VIII. With only 61,xxx miles!!!

Little story behind it, The vehicle was owned by an individual who passed about a year ago. The car went to his son who drove it rarely and it sat mostly. He started it to make sure all was well. My company moved to West Tampa and on my way to work, I happened to pass the car sitting in this guys driveway. After a few weeks, I saw it move once. I went ahead, being the fearless individual I am, and just went up to the guys house and asked if he was willing to sell it, knowing nothing about the car. He reluctantly said he would think about it and that he doesn't drive it and has no desire for the car. I proceed to tell him it will be going to a good home and not to worry, so I left him a business card. A few more weeks pass and I finally got a phone call. He was ready. I immediately went the next day, negotiated an excellent price, and drove away.

The car is great. It has a couple issues that will be addressed (broken drivers door handle, small tear in the passenger butt section of the seat, possible steering wheel recover, and a good polishing). It has a new set of Michelin MXM4 tires, airbags seem to be holding air fine (I've left it sitting for about a week and a half without starting it and no sag), and the paint is in great shape, and no wrinkling rear window seal.

I did notice the airbag compressor is a little loud when it engages, but other than that, this car idles great, runs strong, and is comfortable. How hard is it to replace the airbag compressor? There are two people locally who have them for sale on craigslist. I'm fairly mechanically inclined, so keep that in mind.

I will hopefully have some pictures up in the next few days. I'm hoping to be an active member of this community. Thanks!
