New to me Lincoln Mark VIII LSC

Hi all!

New to the forum here. Just wanted to say, I pulled the trigger. Since having an 87 T-Bird Turbo Coupe bought new at 18 I have always wanted an LSC. But being yound and thinking with the wrong part of my anatomy my now 17 year-old Beautiful daughter (1 of #), was born when I was 19.

I was forced to covett all who had an LSC.


But now 17 years later I have my dream! Might be in the form of a mid-life crisis but so be it.

Its a 97 black on black with 40K on it. It will need some cosmetics to bring her to perfect but she is deffinately a head turner. First thing i want to fix is the rear neon light. My feild is electricity and electronics so I am anxious to get the meter out!!

I have very much enjoyed reading all of the posts here and it certainly helped me in my search!! Thank you all very much. I will be sure to post some pics by the end of the weekend.

Welcome Aboard! If you find the need or desire, there is a guy here who goes by the code name of "glitch" who has done all the work on the rear neon for you. If you search around, you will find him. He has a step by step repair proceedure, and makes the usually needed repair part at a bargain price.

Welcome! I understand how you feel - I used to go to the auto show every year just so I could sit in the Mark VIII. It was my dream car for years, and now I drive one every day. :7

Well thanks for the welcoming all. I went to have the mark aligned and it was brought to my attention that the Radius Rod Bushings were gone as well as a good size Tranny leak. I know the level was up so and it shifted great with none of the shudder i hear about here. So I am hoping just hoping that the dealer i bought it from fixes her right.

Have them replaced with polyeurethane so you don't have to replace them ever again.
