I bought a Spakin' New 2003 VW Gti 1.8T!:D

The color is SIVERSTONE GRAY with black leather interior and 17" Alloy Wheels, It's full loaded with every option I could get...ran out of the list. Now I know why they call it a pocket Rocket, its soo freakin' quick when the little turbo boosts up..Weeeee :D !! The Tiptronic is so fun to play with too.

First few mods to come - VW original sports lower springs and then at 1500 Miles an ARP 94 Octane Chip = 200HP and 240 ftlbs TQ, an aftermarket Diverter Value and turbo-back 2.5" exhaust will get me in very low 14. A guy I know is running 13.9

Now you must be wondering " wouldn't it void your warrenty?" yes it would but my friends best buddy is my service adviser at West Houston VW where I got it from. He has a 2002 GTi with ATP Stage II turbo with 295 HP, so as long as I dont do too much he is cool with it.

Very nice! congrats, I just love cars when they have >100 miles on them!
at any rate, good luck with the Germen. hey, atleast now you can see better at night, those VW reflectors bring out the sun in the middle of the night.

The GTi is a cool little car. Little being the operative term. Just pray that you never hit a deer or a Mark VIII.

I knew I would get some replies here compared to the err other board.

Thanks guyz...unfortunatly I had to give it in as Down, they gave me $3000 for it cosidering tranny was leaking, had 128k+ miles, broken antenna and after-market exhaust system but they wre impressed by how clean it was and they complimented me on it too. Just like other people here, I would definatly get another gen1 as soon as I settle down and save some. Coulnd't afford insurance on both cars as I am still paying student loans. My job is just mile and a half down the road and parking is tuff there where as I use to drive 35 miles one way before and mark was perfect for that.

With all that said I will be a regualr hear as it has become habbit in 2 years :D Even after being flamed 1000000 time on war topics ;)
She (MarkViii) has treated me soo well..the only major problem I ever had was the Alternator and Water pump. Had 4 trips from Oklahoma to Houston TX each totaling 1200 miles...Beside that I am surprised the tranny lasted this long as Mike and Tommy can varify how hard I all drove her. Dont get me wrong 1.8T is no 4.6 V8 but considering that was my only ride with tranny leaking and drving in traffic , it was conter-productive to keep it but soon 1 will own one again...count on it. The Dub (as the online clubs call 'em) is very very quick for such a small engine and with a chip its gonna fly. Will keep you updated on the mods...first mod in few weeks is VW own sports lowered spring that will not void warrnty :D

Nice car. My friend has one but he's trading it for a truck because of the size. I like the color also.

It's the exact same color as my son, Matt's Cherokee, and even the same name, "Silverstone" ~ Good color for people who don't like washing the car every 4 days :)

Back home, we have someone washing the cars twice a day!! Once in the morning before going to work, and again in the after noon so it can be clean when I go out at night.
It's a different ball game in the desert climate, plus it’s cheap as hell.
Someone will come all the way to your front door, wash your car twice a day for around 20bucs a month. Thats one thing I Really miss.

lol that 1.8T is a mid 14 sec 1/4 stock (2003). Image what a Chip, exhaust and a CAI will do...wanna race ;) Thanx anyways
