Finally got the 20-spokes off, and the 10-spokes on. What a difference. I drove out to the air museum today and snapped some shots. Also stopped at my buddy Tommy's shop, and since he had his red 93 there, took a couple more pics. Here it is:

lookin' good Craig. She is a beauty. Chrome 10 spokes one of the best looking mk8 wheels, besides the Octastars, i'm not sure which ones i like more. These are the wheels of the 97 right? They look nice and clean.

(Btw today i think my swaybar brackets took a dump.... x( )

Looks good. Only trouble there is a couple of shots show Navy aircraft in the background. I think to really make those wheels "pop" is get some shots of them in front of Air Force aircraft.:7

RE: New wheel pics-BlackiceLSC's 94

Very nice move Craig. :D Very nice.

Imagine how pleased I was to go from silver 20 spokes to chrome 10 spokes! You didn't by any chance weigh the before/after combo, did you? I was so pumped to get mine on, I never even thought about it. Double shame when I had the DRs installed last year as well.

Now you need some pics of them 'bling bling' wheels smokin' their way up to the tree or doin' a fly by at the 330' marker! }(

Nope...sure didnt. But then again, I already added more weight with the boing-boing, so what's another couple of lbs. I am pretty sure they weigh a lb or 2 more than the 20-spokes.

You wont see my at the strip in this car. Cant afford to hurt it, since it is my daily driver(100 mi round trip).

But when i get another Mark VIII, it's going to see some serious 1320 action.

BTW, this is a USAF plane in the background!

Wow Craig, what a surprise to see my old Navy squadron aircraft in your pics...VA165 Boomers and the A6 aircraft!! I was stationed in VA165 in the mid to late 60's up at Whidbey Island, Washington. Went on 2 Viet Nam cruises with them. Back then, the boomerang on the tail was all green...not orange. What a surprise to see that plane show up on LoD! Oh yeah, nice car too! hehehe

RE: New wheel pics-BlackiceLSC's 94

Yea, there were some really cool old jet aircraft at the museum. Unfortunately, the knuckle-head that mounted and balanced my wheels was using a machine who's calibration was off. Just as I finished snapping these pics, I got a call from my buddy that I could run my car down to his friend's shop for a "au gratis" balance job. I wasnt able to move around and see some more planes for different pics. I had to go take advantage of the offer.(and yes, my wheels were out of balance).

Man, I miss my old tire bustin' days. If I could find a tire shop that would pay me what I make now, I'd be bustin' tires 8 hours a day. It was some of the best work I had ever done.

Bud, I'll check my other 15-or so pics to see if I got some better images of your ol' wings. If you'd like, I will gladly go snap some pics of just that plane, and email them to you for "scrap book material".

say the word.
