Looks like Jesse had a visitor or 2 ;)

Jeremi, never seen your work in person (or your cousins) lol but I have to say its very impressive. I loved the stereo too :)

Lol, cool pictures Max! If you look, you can see that the Vette is surrounded by all three Lincolns! Eric did the stereo, Jeremi's never heard it I think. :D

Actually......lol! That's Max's fiance (or should be by now! :p)

Jeremi did the sub, amp, and components (which is basically everything lol). I just put a new head unit in when the alpine one crapped out. He put in good parts, and did it clean. Can't ask for much more than that. It sounds nice too ;)

Add dynamat (or whatever that stuff I used was called) on the out door skins, and over the whole inner door. The HU was ok, but way outdated by today's standards, I didn't know it stopped working though. I am glad you added the new one to the setup. That and you used "your ears" to fine tune it

Yea it stopped working not long after I got the car. I had a single DIN ecplipse unit in there for a while, it was nice but I wanted a touch screen. The EQ settings and output quality was stunning..... but I put in a double DIN pioneer (non nav) touch screen in there, it just fit the dash space better. It looks pretty nice, works decent, has a nice ipod interface as well.

As far as fine tuning it, I didn't do a whole lot. I adjusted the crossovers and gain settings on the amp a bit but not much else. I had a nice custom EQ in the headunit but once you disconnect the battery it looses it. The EQ settings built into the Pioneer head unit aren't too bad at all surprisingly. I always liked the system in that car.

Sweet Jeremi....didn't know that EITHER..ERIC. :p

I already modified the settings...well I guess you probably didn't because of the new battery.

Haha....it just happend to work out that way.

Did you replace the stock speakers in my car too, or just Dynamat everything?

JL audio components in the front. No rear channel. I think it gives it a better soundstage. Jeremi put those in btw. Imdid pull the door panel off when replacing then drivers door pull.....as expected a clean install.

Figures :) It didn't sound stock thats for sure.

Hey Jesse did you get the misfire fixed?

Cool! :D

Nope...worked on it a bit today and Seafoamed it. I was listening to the injectors and they seem to be fine....the wiring harness looks good too. I'm running out of things to check. :(

If anyone has any ideas...let me know. I hear the the misfire IN the intake tube...a small distinct backfire sound (like if someone gives it gas while trying to start it) and it is ONLY throwing a code for the #6 cylinder. I've swapped plug boots, coils, new plug, stripped down wiring harness and didn't find anything. Next thing I was going to try is swapping injectors....but I've never seen a faulty injector throw a code.

Any other "common" things on the Gen 2's that I should check?

Here are some ideas.

Sticky IMRCs- but the seafoam helps with that and it would throw a separate code.
Intake Valve that is broken
Injector (easy enough to test that)

Swap injector loctions , see if the problem follows.....might be worth a leak down test too just to be sure the valve is seating good.
