Nitrous controler

I found a RPM activated switch. It will turn on your nitrous system at a preset RPM and turn it off at another preset RPM. You can set it to turn on at 4,000 RPM and turn off at 6,000. That would let you get off the line before the nitrous comes on then it would turn it off just before the shift. With the drop in RPM after the shift the nitrous would be turned back on until 6,000 again. It should allow you to tune the system for max performance and let you concentrate on other things during the run.

The part is called a "RPM Activated Window Switch" and can be seen at www.msdignition.com

RE: Nitrous controler

These have been around for a long time. I had one to control the second in-tank walboro 255 pump in my pearl car. They could also be used to control IMRC's on a gen 1 with a cobra intake.

Hi Joe

I'm interested in your comment about using these switches to control the IMRC's. What advantage does the aftermaket switch offer over the stock controller or is it used in conjunction with the stock controller ? I recently installed a Cobra intake on a Gen2 and I am still fine tuning.

RE: Nitrous controler

there should be no need to fine tune the 98 imrc controlers because they are the same as the cobra ones to begine with just located in a difrent spot. tuning because of the extra flow from the intake is difrent but still the mass air and computer should acount for most of that.
