Ummm....you are selling the best car you ever owned??????

Have you pulled any codes off the car? Does it still miss even if you DON'T go WOT? Open the hood in the real dark and see if you have a lightning show when you have someone run at a high RPM sitting still/neutral. If so, cheap plug wires and are shorting. If okay, are you positive you reinstalled the plug wires/coil packs correctly?

it is the best car i ever owned im selling it cause i cant use it for a work car i drive 150 miles a day gas is killing me.everything is installed correcly.my buddy tells me its probably a coolant tempature sensor or i was doing a search and people with the same problem have cam sensors crank sensors issue.im gonna be sad to see it go but i gotta do it i have a 97 ta 6 speed lt1 i swear my lincoln feels faster from a 60 roll lol

I drive over 100 miles a day for work- I would not sell my Mark because of gas prices. If you are spending that much time in your vehicle you need to be comfortable.
When I started this job I thought all I needed from a car was 30mpg+ and airconditioning, so I bought a Pontiac Sunfire. Sold it within 1 year and bought the mark.

What kind of coil packs did you put on? Did you have the problem before you switched the coil packs?

Check all your connections including boot to plug, coil pack connectors, etc. Use tune up grease and secure all connections. Also, you may have some clogged ports. Sea foam cleaning is always beneficial.

be careful how many WOT's you do in it, you dont want to see how bad it will run when you snap a valve spring and drop a rocker in the head, and it happens, more than we think.

well i finally got the car scanned and it popped 3 egr codes i cant find the valve to save my life lol plus i found a broken vacuum line green one on the driver side my diagram sais? egr its like going to a plastic valve im going to try to repair it and see how it does can a broken vacuum line and or bad egr really cripple the car that bad?

Well with a broken vacum line the car is not going to run good !
Everything is designed for a reason.

And I agree that MPG alone is not a reason to sell the car!
I also leave 50miles fro work so I drive 100 miles alone not including mettings etc.

you want bad gas mileage i'll sell you my chevy silverado with the vortec 6 liter. i average 8 to 10 mpg around town, i work 12 miles from work, work 6 days a week and spend about 80 bucks just to do that for one week.

Same engine in my wife's H2...except several hundred pounds heavier.

But it's a rec/business vehicle, so low miles.

Hi, I experienced very similar problems on my 94 mark. DFPE sensor and a damaged vacuum tee fitting. Also vacuum connector from intake to power booster line. Tne car was over 3oo,ooo miles at least. EGR valve is barely visible on the early 4.6. Back of engine below throttle body. EGR valve position sensor {DFPE} is one impossible reach.

well guys i thank u all for the advice.so i found another broken vacuum line and i listined to my buddy and ran a few gallons of e85 ethanol to really clean the inside of the motor and i tell u what the car runs absolutley amazing and the gas milage went through the roof i went 88miles on 4 gallons fuel im absolutley extatic.forget selling it im gonna keep it so bottom line it was a bad vacuum line and really gunked up inside lol

Don't do too much running around on E85. You're not tuned for it and your injectors won't flow enough. It will get much worse gas mileage on E85 as well. 22 mpg sounds like you're down 3-5 mpg off what it should get on the highway.
