OD light flashing

RE: OD light flashing

K, he's all done and I finally took it for a test drive. It does not shift nearly as hard as it did that first time I took it out. We set it to 3, but who knows, maybe I'll have him change it later. The 1-2 feels pretty good, the 2-3 I don't notice much of a change.

How 'bout the 3-4?

Haven't found a place with enough room to test that one out.

Oh my bad... you've still got stock gears. :+

Seriously, while I did the shift kit after the 4.10s, I was wondering what if any difference you observed on the 3-4 shift. I don't think mine really changed much. But the 1-2 is wickedly sastifying and the 2-3 is just a touch below it. But the 3-4 is disappointing, and I have the Baumann on Level 5.

Yeah, I'll have to get out on the highway or something, but I'm guessing it won't be a very good shift. I'm already wanting it to be a little more dramatic than it is now. I guess the 1st time I took it out was a fluke, or due to the connector not being on all the way. THAT was shifting.

If Mark comes over I'll ask him to check it out. I don't drive enough anymore to really notice things as well as I used to when I drove the car every day.

JP, if you want a 3-4 shift that is as fast as a 2-3 WOT shift, you'll need more than a baumann...that's why I went with Jerry's recommended goodies. Of course, you have a higher stall TC, so it will definately soften the 1-2/2-3, but for a faster 3-4, you'll need the following:

-Shorter Reverse Servo: E0AZ-7D189-AVMR
-2.7" OD Servo: F75Z-7H188-AA
-OD Servo return spring: F2VY-7F201-A
-Pressure Control Solenoid (EPC): XL3Z-7G383-AA

My car will easily bark(yes, BARK) the hides into second, and has been known to eek out a chirp into 3rd if I am manually shifting, but the 3-4 shift, even at even throttle at 65 mph is awesome. Not too firm, just very quick...no delay at all.

Not knocking the Baumann...just saying...it too has its limits.

Thanks Craig, I'll have to look into that.
