Oil temp error

I am getting a error message on my display saying Oil Temp Signal Error. Any ideas? I have replaced the Oil sending unit, didnt fix it.

The oil sending unit? Whats that?

There are two sensors. One is the oil pressure switch located at the oil filter adapter plate. The other is plugged into the pan near the drain plug. That one is both oil temp and oil level.
 
ah i didnt mean sending unit. i meant pressure switch. the sending unit is the one i need to change that is both temp and level.
 
Im not sure its really called a sending unit, but thats the bugger.

I shall warn you, its NOT cheap! I think the oil temp part of the sensor is only used to determine oil life.
 
well it sends the information to the display doesnt it? :) anyways, i called autozone and they dont have one ,i guess ill call the dreaded dealer.
 
Be seated when you call. I am pretty sure they are near the $200 range or something crazy like that!
 
i got $125 from advance auto and they have to order it and they don know when they will see the part come in, dealers closed so ill have to call tomorrow.
