I wouldn't think most insurances would cover all his add-on's and mods without some kind of "additional" policy. I hate to see that happen to anybody.....even "ricers".

I was scrolling thru those, thinking OK, this guy's just being a smart ass bragging on his car in an oblique way. Then I got to the nitty gritty. That's one of the worst feelings feelings you can have. In 1990, I bought a new "Middle Age Crazy" car, even had that painted on the bumper. It was a Toyota Supra Turbo in the GTS trim level. It had every option available, then I sunk another $2.5K in glass etching(eagles & some military stuff). Had it three months, parked at a meter in downtown San Antonio directly across the street from the county courthouse. I was inside 15-20min, when I came out it was gone. I had an Excaliber alarm with a case hardened hood chain, glass sensors, battery back-up ect... everything you would want in an alarm.
HA. The car was never seen again. They found one of the quarter windows that I had a 12in. eagle eteched into at a flea market about six months later. I know how that guy feels. Like someone had just sucker punched you in the gut.

The saddest part is that if the owner came out during the movie, and had on him a gun, and shot the B______ and killed him, it would be the car's OWNER who got tried & went to jail. The laws today all favor the criminal ! If the owner came out & said, "Please don't do that to my car" he would gotten his______ handed to him, possibly shot or "cut"! So, what's the owner to do?
In the old days there was such a thing as on the spot Justice! The cowboys came out of the saloon, saw someone trying to steal another guy's horse, and they just shot him to death right there. Later in the fifties, there was "Grand Theft Auto" which netted the crook 25 years in jail. Today, sadly, Grand Theft Auto is nothing but a video game. ha ha ha, A Game!
These were professional thieves, and they have done this many, many times before and are doing it TONIGHT! They get caught and never go to jail. When the punishment(s) return and this scum of the earth goes to jail for 50 years.....the crime will end!

That's just plain sickening. I can't imagine having that done to me. It has got to be one of the most violating things that can happen to someone.
That's one of them there occasions that we here in Texas take the perp' out on a huntin' trip, and OOPS!, another huntin'accident!

Unless you have had this done to you, you realy don't know what it is like. Like Lee said you feel sucker punched, violated and all the others. Two stories to go with that. When I was 10 or so, we went on a family vacation to Boston. From there we were going up to our friend's cabin on the lake in Maine. We parked in a security garage and the next morning they stole my fathers Lincoln Town Car. Seems at the time there was a ring of thieves working these lots. We lost the car, clothes and all. I couldn't really imagaine how my father felt until later in life.
I was covering a high shcool wrestling tournament for the newspaper in Miami, got to my car and someone had stole my radio. Smashed and snatched. Though this is not the same size as a car, I felt the same as others -- violated.
Then, of course, when that drunk punk hit me and killed "Black Beauty (R.I.P.)" I felt that all over again times 100.
And insurance doesn't help the feeling, just softens the blow.

Man........... that really sucks. It’s the worse thing that can happen to me (after death of course). You can see him stealing 30thousand dollars worth of your hard earned money, and you can’t really do anything about it!! They should make laws stricker on these assholes.

damn, aside from the wing, that was a really tastefully done civic. no body kits and a really clean install on EVERYTHING. its a real shame that had to happen to him. he shouldve invested some more money in his alarm system for some sort of immobilization option.
