OK, the prices on eBay talked me into it!

Was thinking that I would just replace the stock speakers, but eBay was an evil temptress...

Have an Infinity Reference 6 ch (80x4, 150x2 @2) amp and a pair of 10" Infinity Reference subs enroute. Any suggestions for a sub box that works well for a Mark, and interior speakers? What size speakers will fit in the door and rear apertures? How about an MP3 capable head unit with an external line in (for ipod, flash memory player, etc)?

Not trying for super big sound, and I've had good experiences with Infinity's home equipment in the past.

Build your own box, all you need is a jigsaw and preferably a circular saw (although you could cut the straight lines with a jib with patience) Building you're own is the best way to ensure it fits in your trunk, as many premade boxes won't. Use liquid nails and drywall screws, and cover it with trunk carpet from pep boys or whereever, and boom, it's looks stock.

Since you're an infinity man, get the infinity kappa's that max bought a few weeks ago to round it out. 5x7's fit like a glove. Be sure to buy a dynamat like material (there are cheaper versions out there like Rammaat) and put a layer or two on your doors. It will give you better sound as well as quiet road noise. You may want to put some on your trunk lid as well.

OK, 5x7 Kappas it is. I was leaning toward Kappas, but I wasnt sure which sixe or shape would work. Thanks. Where does the dynamat on the doors go, the inside of the interior panel?

Yea kappas are great speakers... they are really loud and clear!!! Although i think they lack a little bidbass, I have yet to hear better ones.
