A year ago today my wife an I arrived home after a 2000 mile journey in our new to us 1997 Mark VIII.
2008 proved to be a pretty crazy year for us and 2009 is looking even crazier. Despite what goes on in our lives, it's still nice to hop into the Mark and make it all go away with one swift push of the right pedal to the floor.
As you might tell, I'm still very pleased with the Lincoln and have only had to do what I'd consider routine maintenance on it (knocking on real walnut burl).
This year the plan is for a new front end soon and some new 02 sensors even sooner. Should be a "brand new 12 year old car then."
It's nice to come across other Marks on the road, everyone has always waved. Guess that's one of the things that makes it an "enthusiasts car."
I might not be a heavy poster, but I enjoy the banter on this site and appreciate all the technical knowledge that is shared.
Looks like tomorrow it could hit 353535 miles, hopefully at least 300k more to go, thanks to everyone for keeping them on the road and waving back.
