Our beloved 95 is no longer "perfect"

Last wednesday morning, Brenda was warming up her car in front of our house, and ran in to grab something. A stranger who was parked across the way got in her own car, and without looking, threw it in reverse, and backed right into the driver's door of our 95. Brenda heard the "crunch", and ran out to see.... the tail lights of a silver car haulin booty down the street. HIT AND RUN!
No plates, no witnesses, and a big dent in the driver's door.
$2200.00 repair, with a $500.00 deductible.

Brenda called the police(waste of time), and now we are waiting for the insurance company to send out an adjuster to "adjust" the estimate.(yea...6 days later, the insurance co. finally returned brenda's calls.. worthless!)

So, now that beautiful Champagne paint job will probably never be the same. I know body shops "claim" they can color match perfectly, but I have seen sooooooo many cars that from an angle, the metallic paint is a different shade, until you are right up even with it.

I cannot tell you all how frustrating it is when you are minding your own business, getting ready to go to work to earn your money to buy, and care for your car, and some LOSER comes along and ruins everything. If I ever see, find, or come across the woman(a neighbor has seen her before) who did this, well.... I hope for her sake she gets away with it. Brenda is a tough girl. She can "take" me! I am afraid she might just do to this girl's face what this girl did to Brenda's car... re-arrange it, and cause some serious damage. I have seen Brenda in action, and let me tell you....I dont worry about her one bit. She is pretty damn tough.

So, hopefully the car will get fixed right, and come out as clean as it was before it got smacked. Just wanted to share.

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THIS MAN!!!

truly sad.. I think hit and run criminals should have their own kind of punishment, kinda like waiting till they get back on their feet, buy a new car, and have someone lawfully slam into them and run away.

and if it was up to me,
I would Then come back, and run THEM over!

sorry to hear that, hope you can get the car back to normal. Its not as hopeless as you think. They can match paint well if you find the right shop.

Thanks Max. yea, the body shop we are going to is one of the good ones. Since we have to pay our deductible, we might as well find the best shop in town. they garrantee the color match, and give us up to a year to "supplement" the claim if something else should be damaged. Its real easy though. Driver's door-- screwed.

Yea every person who does a hit and run should be placed in a bumpercar arena with some the exploding Pinto's.........
