out of car engine wiring

ok, so i know this is a lot to ask for, but i was wondering if anyone could tell me exactly what wires i need to make the engine run in my 93' mark out of the car. the car was totalled and i wanted to do a rat rod sort of car once i find a body, so i would need to make the engine just bolt in and run while still keeping it fuel injected. i would also like to start it up on a stand every ince in a while to keep the parts free. so could anyone tell me exactly what wires i need, where they go, hints, or even a manual/schematic that would help me? thanks.

RE: out of car engine wiring

You'll need every wire that goes to a sensor, spark plug, or fuel injector. You'll also need the computer.

Start by pulling the engine. Take it out from the bottom, leave the wiring harness attached.

Then pull the dash out of the car.

Pull the ECU. Follow the harness back and take it all. Try not to cut anything, this will make things harder.

You'll need the fuel pump and tank, of course. Including the hoses to / from the engine.

It's not going to be worth it to make it run on the stand. If it's going to sit for a while, pull out all the spark plugs, spray some fogging oil in each cylinder, and turn it over by hand.

You will need some wiring diagrams to make everything work in a rat rod. but you're going to want to use the stock ECU and most of the stock wiring, most likely.
