How do I go about fixing it. The moter sounds likes it still works but sounds like a gear is stripped or someting like that. Is this a common problem and is there a quick fix for this.

Have you tried 'assisting' in the direction of travel?

The track may need lubed?

Undo the front and rear bolts and tilt the entire seat back and remove the covers to see whats going on. The work off of a "worm drive" type gear so it sounds like the gear on the motor is bad, or a section of the worm drive gear is toast. You can also get a mirror and remove the side panels if you're lazy, hehe.

The seat does move if you push it in the direction that you want it to move, but not very good and it still makes the grinding noise.

Oh...thats bad, haha. I say take the seat out and visually inspect everything! MAKE sure you don't got a stupid quarter stuck in the track or something...I've seen it before! Penny got stuck....cost our good customer 658 dollars to buy an entire track because we couldn't find a used on, you can't buy the track seperate, and he really really wanted to fix it because his wife was short and he was tired of getting yelled at.
