we've run 117 mph before, but the 11.48 is it's new best...and I'm still about 3 jet sizes too fat, and on DOT legal tires.

she went to the Semi's in jackpot tonight, and won $65. Only to lose to her own brother(the other car I tune).

I tell ya, standing between them at the starting line sure was a proud moment.

next on the "to do" list...valve adjustment, and SLICKS!!! The truck should(hopefully) dip in to the mid-40's. especially if I jet it down some more, getting the tune-up closer to correct.

we'll see!

good news!

went to the shop yesterday to re-jet the carb down...found some 80H (hy-flo) jets from the "Carb Shop" and re-adjusted the valves. This was the first valve adjustment since break in, and we found all of the intake valves pretty loose, and the exhausts were sort of on the loose side. MORE HOURSEPOWER!

when re-installing the carb, I noticed that we weren't even getting full throttle! The custom throttle linkage bracket had a flaw in its design which allowed it to move after a few WOT pedal-mashes, and when it moved, it made it so you couldnt get full throttle...

Plus, a friend of mine had a set of M/T ET slicks 32x14x15-S. The tread-width is 1.2" wider than the ET Streets we were running, PLUS they are hardly used(20+ passes).

between the jetting(less fat), the valve adjustment, and the slicks, we might see some faster times from the Peanut.
