Peep to Peer downloads

RE: Peep to Peer downloads

We got a couple nasty viruses and havent been back to any of them. When my wife signed up for Napster and we agreed to pay for services the REAL problems began. Norton-Anti virus didnt detect the viruses right away and our new Dell 4600 personalized computer took a beating.

RE: Peep to Peer downloads

Why stop? The RIAA failed to tell you that your chances of getting sued are similar to getting struck by lighting. Besides they just got smacked down with getting people user info from IP addresses. They have to do it the right way now which is long and difficult.

I use WinMx, but I only download maybe 5 songs a month. I download CMT videos for my wife the most.

RE: Peep to Peer downloads

I use Ares now. I guess it's the new Kazaa Lite. I really like it. I just don't share my files. No viruses so far...knock on wood.

RE: Peep to Peer downloads

Kazaa Lite here also.

RE: Peep to Peer downloads

Aren't you guys afraid about the RIAA coming after you? I am thinking about downloading the software but I am a big chicken...

RE: Peep to Peer downloads

I don't know too much about that, but I don't share any of my files, so at least they can't get me for distributing music. I don't know what those 500 people did to get sued. It seems like a very small percentage of the millions that are doing it.

RE: Peep to Peer downloads

We are using iTunes. No problems. Easy to use, easy to pay for. Easy piece of mind. Great quality too.
