Bought the car in 2/03 with 87K miles, Installed TransGo shift kit (Hot Rod, No Torque Converter), did Accumulator 1-2 and 2-3 upgrades (they were already done however), and of course Mercon 5. Zero metal, and near zero "Sludge" in the pan when I changed it. Old fluid was bright red and didn't stink. No shudder, No Slip, Chirps Second Gear like no tommorrow. This past weekend (10/05), I removed the trans (to replace it with a 2000 truck trans) and it had yellow markings (11/02)indicated it was replaced in 11/02, and the letters "BVG" all in yellow paint. Since 2/03 less than 1500 miles were put on the car (Car is being re-done). This is an excellent/perfect transmission with ZERO issues. Shifts Perfect, TC is Perfect, Lock-Up is Perfect, no leaks. TC has zero rust (unlike the 68K mile TC on the Truck Trans I'm replacing it with) and could be new. Could have been rebuilt but no guarantees, regardless, it's perfect. I'm completely honest here. Install it and GO. No playing with solenoids, JMOD, or accumulators here. Had the car to 90 MPH with the two piece shaft without vibes (rear bushing is good at least). I'd replace the front and extension housing seals just to know they're new. I swiped the shift lever and dip stick, so you'll need those from your car. $300, Pick up Only in Wash. DC area. Factory Part # on Trans is PKE-D F4LP-AA. This Trans needs to Live ON, you will NOT be dissappointed! It's perfect.
