Poineer stereo install question?

I have a 94 Mark VIII with the JBL system, I want to install a Pioneer radio/cd player. What installation wires sets have any of you used with a aftermarket radio. The ones I see have 2 or 3 connectors, when I took my radio out there is a flat connector(8 wires or so), a square 8 wire connector, square 6 wire connector and a 2 wire connector. More connectors than the installation kits provide provisions for. Do some not get connected? Also, since the trunk cd changer is inop I would like to remove it, but i know the speakers run through it. I am trying to avoid running all new wires to the speakers. Is that my only choice????

When I had my head unit changed out, also Pioneer, they bipassed the factory amp as my head unit had an internal one, bipassed the trunk cd player and removed it as it was broken. There should be a wiring harness available that will have connectors for all the wire units; look around it is out there and available. At the time I also opted for different speakers at the same time, however foolish as I was I did not go with components and ended up having to bypass the factory tweeters. So look around, and my best advice would be to take it somewhere and pay the $30 bucks or so to get it installed and let them bypass anything if necessary..

When I installed the Pioneer system in my 94, I purchased the install kit from Crutchfield. I read and followed the instructions and everything worked just fine. The kit interfaced into the JBL system without problem.

I just installed a Kenwood system from Crutchfield this past weekend. They have the adapters you need. Although, I had a problem bypassing the Mark's amp. The bypass connector didn't fit one side of the amp and I had to cut off one of the connectors and hard wire it myself. I don't have the JBL system though.

i have a 93 with the jbl system and i will be getting a sony radio with the cruthfeid kit will my cd changer work with it
