"Popping" from air cleaner-misfire ?

Hi guys,
my 95 LSC has started an intermitten popping from the what sounds like it is coming from the air filter under LIGHT acceleration,at the same time I am feeling a shutter like the car is starving for fuel or is shifting to early into lockup.
The car also feels like I lost some power during wide open throttle.

Car has within last 2000 miles:
New jerry spec trans,Lms megaflow maf,Lms chip,plugs,Msd 8.5 wires,
fuel filter,02 sensors.

Today I will try and clean the maf sensor and reset the computer and next remove the chip (before this problem car was pinging a little, so I've been adding a little "02 safe"octane booster).

No check engine lights.

Any other suggestions ????

im still chasing that same problem in my bone stock '97. Mine does it really bad at idle and low RPMs. Dealer says its fine, my other mechanic cant figure it out, so im really screwed...
