Post pics of your custom intakes

I'm looking for some ideas on how to mod mine, I've already cut a hole in the stock air box and took out the silencer thing. I want to put a conical filter on using the stock MAF. I know the performance gain won't be great but I'm just looking for something that'll sound nice! I have a 1997 LSC. The cheaper the better.

In my opinion, the best thing is to use a regular paper panel filter without an air silencer. Thats what I'm doing right now and it sounds great. A K&N doesn't give you any power increases, and the better exhaust sound is minimal. I think my setup right now sounds awesome when I step on it.

If I wasn't so anal about getting dirt in my intake and oil on the MAF for a .001th in the quarter mile, I would do what some other guys here did... get a K&N conical, and stick it in the hole where the air silencer used to be. It will fit perfectly. Then run a non-restrictive tube from the intake to the filter. This is your home made cold air intake. If done right (painted tubing) it will look very nice too. Otherwise you need to get an "icebox" from LMS.

You might be interested in contacting this company. They look like they have plans for some type of intake setup, but its not ready yet. Call them and ask them what their plans are. Otherwise, I dunno...
