Premium Sound amp location in a '93 MK8

I just got the wiring necessary to install a new headunit in my '93 Mark VIII. It has the base Premium Sound, not the JBL. Where is the factory amp located? I searched the archives and couldn't find anything. I'd like to have a general location before I start tearing it apart. :)

Same location as the JBL units - under the rear package tray in the trunk.

Thanks! I found it. Now the next interesting problem is, how in the heck do you bypass the amp? The factory amp uses what looks like an oversized phone jack for the line-level inputs, and I couldn't find any Ford Premium Sound amp bypass harnesses that accomodate that. Do any exist? If not I'll have to run new speaker wire, since I don't want to hack up the factory wiring.

I have tried everything in my power to bypass that amp and I had no luck. I would reccommend you rewire the entire car. Good thing is you could modify the stock amp bridge to house all of your new amps - let me know if there is anything else you need to know...

Thanks for the info! For now I just ran the HU output through the amp, and oddly enough that seems to work quite well. I expected major distortion since the amp is taking the speaker-level outputs, but it actually sounds pretty good for the time being. When I get around to installing my new speakers, it might be good enough to leave as-is.
