problem with abs and traction

a friend of mine owns a 93 mark viii and his abs light keeps coming on and everytime it does it turns his traction control off, you can kit the button but nothing happens this just started a couple days ago and i want to figure out whats going on since he almost went into a wall because his traction control wasnt on. Any suggestions on what to start looking at?

Check the rear wheel sensors for any damage, as this is how you determine if wheels are spinning and then the computor adds a little brake to that wheel.

traction controll wasnt standard in the 1st gens 2 of my 93's didnt have it, my green 93 does, i have seen 95's without it too so its random.
