Prototype intake...

I posted about this on LvC. I purchased a "Mach 1" intake hate, well it came today. This thing is HEAVY. Some paces have an inch or more of metal. A part number search brings up the 01 type Cobra intake as the closest match. It will not fit any production lower half. So maybe if I polish it up nice I can hang it one the wall. I paid VERY little for it, so I am out nothing really.

I dont recall the 01 intake, but the mouth on this one seems much deeper:

I guess the bad thing is that since it didnt make production its not that good ?

Who knows. Thats the thing. If it was made in 96/97 it *may* be fore the older heads. Or the heads were worked on at the same time. That could mean even if I find the lower, the heads may have been some other design never put into production - back to square one.

Also, maybe the design kits butt. But fuel economy is always a concern with production vehicles. So for that matter this thing on the correct lower might kick butt.
