Question about 4r70w swap from 5.4L truck

Is there a difference between the 2wd and the 4wd transmissions that are available? Someone said you are supposed to use the 2wd version, but I never saw the reason why anywhere.

The problem is the rear of the trans case where it bolts to the transfer case.
It's completely different than the 2WD version.
