It is, but they all use different server types ie; Apache, IIS, and Linux/Unix. The public folder is always different.

If your files are uploaded in "public_html" then just make the link like this "http://www.yoursite.com/filename"

RE: Question for the webmasters..

Last time I checked, lunarpages was using Cpanel. Cpanel is a control panel system which allows you to set-up email and ftp accounts, databases, view web stats, etc.

But you don't need to even login to your control panel. Since you have already uploaded the file, all you need to do is link to it like dohcmark8 mentioned.

Be sure to compress it as much as possible. You could very well exceed all of your allotted bandwidth with just one large video file.

40GB is a lot of bandwidth...

Jeffrey: I have hosting with cpanel and I dont see a place to upload files in it. Did you use an ftp program to upload? If yes, just make sure you uploaded in "public_html" and just make the link to the file, for example:

my site is: http://zeb.dailyresource.com/

In order for me to put say, an image up for you to view I would upload it in "public_html", you can make a new folder in "public_html" if you want, in my example my file is uploaded to "zeb.dailyresource.com/public_html/test/2006-Lincoln-Zephyr-RA-City-1024x768.jpg" and if I wanted to post the image, I would remove the "public_html" to make it: "zeb.dailyresource.com/test/2006-Lincoln-Zephyr-RA-City-1024x768.jpg" which you can see below. Point is, when posting the link, dont add "public_html" to the link and be sure to add "http://"
