Recall or not??

Hey everyone,
What is the deal on the warning and investigation going on vis-a-vis the problem with the cruise control? Anyone with concrete news please post. Is Ford picking up the tab if we make the change, should I get it done at the local FLM dealer?

Are you talking about the recall for the SUV's?

I doubt they'll recall for the Mark VIII problem. There just isn't enough critical mass - it flies below the NTSB's nnd NHSTA's radar. It's just like the headlight issue. Now if the problem existed on mass-produced models, like the Taurus, I'm sure it'd be different...

I got a recall notice for my F150. I have already taken it in and had the new switch installed.
