Hey everyone, as well as buying the 94 Mk8 100,000 mile daily driver, I also bought a 95 Mk8 173,000 mile car to transplant the running gear into my 39 Zephyr show car.

Turns out the awsome idea they used for a thermostat housing is cracked in a few places and leaking.

Does anyone make a replacement, or has anyone made a mod that works?

Are you planning on using the OEM crossover tube and bypass hose routing?

There are alternative options for the cooling system plumbing. You can utilize a 'crossover delete' mod which is essentially a wye fitting on the top radiator inlet with a pair of large diameter AN hoses to the individual coolant ports on the cylinder heads. ON3 and others supply a kit. This can include either an upper or a lower thermostat location. If you go with the lower location, a late model GT thermostat housing and radiator hose works with the overflow tank.
