I will be replacing my O2 sensors soon. I've ben lookin online and ther's so many different varieties in models and price. Some are simply replacement w/o connectors versus OEM with. The ones w/o connectors can be as cheap as $40 and with are up top $100. I'm wondering if I buy the heaper ones w/o connectors, can I reused the existing connectors? I want to get the right parts but am strapped or cash lately and need to save as much as I can.

Some exapmles at -

RE: Replacing O2 sensors - purchase advice

I've been using O2 sensors from O'Reilly's. Auto zone would also carry them. The pricing on that website you list seems too high. If memory serves, I spent less than 35 bucks on a sensor from O’Reilly. Auto Parts dot com have them for around 40 bucks. With connectors. Your time kludging in connectors is worth the extra 5 bucks or so, ain't it?

Sometimes you can get forever warranties, too!

Thanks for the info. I found them on autoparts.com for just under $40 and will go that route. One last question. I know I need 2. I want to confirm I get 2 of the same model?? Some list "before catalyst??" - not sure what that means. I recall there's one in the sxhuast manifold and one near the Catalatic Conv.

Thanks again!!

If you have a 93-95 your mark will have 2 sensors BEFORE the cats. If you have a 96-98 you will have 4 02 sensors 2 before the cat and 2 after.

imho, the best best when it comes to O2's, alternators, and alot of the electircal items on cars is to get OEM stuff (dealer.) Much better quality and far fewer problems, even though you might have to pay a bit more, it's worth not having to replace parts numerous times...

that is exactly what Jeff/SpecialVehicleOperator said after I put Bosch 02's in my car..

he said I should have put the motorcraft 02's in as they are more dependable and last longer.
