I'm glad to help with my wife's training because I'm so very, very proud of her.
About 9 years ago I almost lost Mimi. She was involved in a horrific accident in her Mustang that left her an invalid for over a year. After months of being bedridden, she was able to move about with leg and back braces and canes.
As an exercise regimen to restore her atrophied muscles, she tried martial arts because the training was goal and skill oriented, as opposed to months and months of boring, repetitive physio routines.
At first she could do very little and progress was agonizingly slow. Even simply holding the correct stances was difficult. There were many times she cried out of sheer frustration.
Over time her strength came back and she could train harder and harder...
