right side front and rear down

I'm no expert on this air ride system but I know enough to think that this is weird:

My right front and right rear are dropping over night, while the left front and left rear are staying at proper height.

both rear bags and the right front bag are new.

Chances are you have a leak in the solenoid Orings, they aren't hard to screw up.

Since you are dealing with new bags, it pretty much can be the only culprit

By new, do you mean new Arnott brand? If not, agreed on the o-rings but Ford bags come with new ones already installed.

thanks

thanks

It's been a few months since I did the rear bags, I don't remember dealing with the solenoids / o-rings on those...

You nees to twist the solenoids out of their bayonet lock in order to remove the old bag, and then twist it in on the new bag. Their are two o rings on the shaft of the solenoid that seal the system. These need to be replaced with new ones when exchanging air bags. Also a dab of di-electric grease helps everthing work smooth on reassembly.

If you got bags that had the solenoids already installed, then my next thought is that you did not get the old airline seated properly into the solenoid. When repairing in this area the plastic tube needs to be cut squarely and deburred. It then has to be firmly pressed into the solenoid so that the end of the tube seats down against the samll o ring inside the solenoid, and that the small brass collet teeth grab into the tube sufficiently.

You may have air leaks in this area that are your problem with these new bags. Soapy water should be able to tell this for you

Thanks, looks like another night on the jack-stands is in order. My father-in-law got me a 10o0w halogen light stand that I thoguth I wold never have much use for, so far this summer I think I;ve spent more time under that than out in the actual sun.
