RE: Rotors
There's been so many threads about this and such differences of opinion, but I'm going to add my experience.
First of all, I drive like a psychopath! Fast and hard. I used Ford rotors exclusively, trying both stock '94s and two sets of '98s. No matter what, I was replacing them every six months, like clockwork. They would end up warped or blue or both. There was no sense resurfacing them.
I finally had enough, and well over a year ago I put on four TRW "PowerStop" crossdrilled rotors with Wagner Thermoquiet semi-ceramic pads. Brake performance and pedal feel improved dramatically, but more importantly, I've gone 48,000KM (30,000 Miles) without any pulsation or brake fade. That's absolutely unprecedented for me.
TRW says these rotors can be turned. The only stipulation is that the holes be re-chamfered if a lot of meat gets taken off the rotor.
I'm not trying to say cross drilled are always better, but they certainly work for me!
