Ever since I've had my car, the idle has felt a little rough. Not horrible or anything I seriously worried about, it just felt rougher than I'd expect from a Lincoln.
This weekend my battery went kaput (it was the factory battery so after 6 years and 72,000 miles it was due ). I replaced it with a Duralast from AutoZone and all was well again. As a bonus, when I took it for a drive it noticed there was no more slightly rough idle! I've heard a bad battery can do weird things to the Mark, but I never thought it'd affect the idle. Guess it did in my case. Something to keep in mind if you have a slightly funky idle (Also, I've already done the normal tuneup stuff - plugs, fuel filter, etc etc - and replaced the IAC and TPS.)
