Hi,
I am selling a SCT XCalibrator 2 that I bought from Dennis about 7 weeks ago. It is in like new condition with no defects at all (electrical or physical).
I am selling it as I thought I needed it to handle a PATS no start issue I was having. Turned out that my problem was parking space related as the place I parked was right next to an X-band motion sensor type device - which evidently can jam out the PATS key signal if strong enough (that was fun to try to troubleshoot!). So I basically have no need at all for this $400 tuner. I already have a Jerry W. dyno tune in the car, and already had a laptop based OBD-II scan tool system, so having a XCal 2 wasnt doing me much good.
For those who don't know, you can do alot of stuff with an XCal 2 that you can't do with chips or previous tuning devices, like change idle speed, change timing at various RPM points, change shift points, rev limiters and some other stuff. It also saves your stock tune if you wish to go back at any time. It is also reprogrammable so it can be used in the future on other vehicles. It can also be used as a high-speed datalogger. Best thing to do is read up on it on the SCT website.
The tuner was setup by Dennis Reinhart to work with the RKK3 or BLX3 code, which is for a 97 Mark VIII. It is unlocked, meaning that is ready to plug into your EEC and program. If you wish to use it on a different vehicle, I believe Dennis will reprogram these for around $75-100. Any other SCT dealer can do this as well.
Price is $325 and includes everything it comes with new - in the factory box, with all documentation, cables, and software. This is only 7 weeks old and is perfect, and represents the newest software configuration of the Xcal 2 that is availiable. Shipping is also included (Continental USA). I sell of eBay as calviroman and have a 100% positive feedback with 55+ sales. I ship same day, and I will take paypal, check, money order, or cash in person. Email me with any questions.
Thanks,
Cal
