Shave door kits?

Well to every mark viii owner, don't take your mark to Hawaii. Last night yet another attempted break-in on my car. So the guys tried to pull the cover around the door handle and lock off, but right when they opened the door, the alarm went off. They didn't get anything at all, my neighbor heard the alarm and i guess spooked them away. So now i'm looking into just shaving the door handles and put in an alarm system. Any ideas, has anybody tried the shave door kits on their marks or any alarms that will go with the door kits? Thanks

RE: Shave door kits?

the only thing id ever do remotely close to that is shave the keyholes and mold the handles to the door itself. possibly a different handle less prone to breaking.

RE: Shave door kits?

where in Hawaii are you? I am on Oahu, at Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps base. Maybe we can get together and talk about the Mark VIII....

RE: Shave door kits?

I shaved the lock cylinder on the passenger side of my thunderchicken when some clown tried to break into it in high school. I just used some epoxy putty, filled it in, sanded it smooth, and had the door painted.

I'm also on Oahu but on the other side down by the stadium. Sure that would be cool to actually talk to another mark viii owner, very few that actually drive a mark here i noticed.
