The 1.5 ton mini-split unit that I had in my garage died recently (after 6 years), so I had to find a replacement. I found a great deal ($1,031 shipped) on a SEER 18, ~2 ton, inverter technology, R410a unit from the same place that I purchased my original unit. Made in China, but distributed and warrantied by Fedders here in NJ.
Did the installation myself, of course.
If anyone (JP?) needs a mini-split, I'd recommend this one.

p.s. I just noticed that the date/time stamp on my camera is off by a month, this was done in July.
