Slow leak caused by bad wheel

One of the wheels on my 98 Mark (basic model)has chipped chrome on the inside of the rim where the tire meets the rim. I had the rim ground down on both of the insides and had the tire sealed with the gook. I still get a very slow leak and have to put air in about evvery 10 to 14 days. The wheels are called the "octoline" or something like that. Its the standard 1998 Mark 8 wheel. Any ideas on how to fix this problem without having to spend hundreds on a new wheel? I haven't tried any junkyards yet but there is not a whole lot of them around. Any help greatly appreciated.

RE: Slow leak caused by bad wheel

Octastars are what the wheels are you are describing.

Find another tire shop and explain your problem. They may very well be sealed at the bead and leaking through porosity. It can be sealed.
