By the way, it's not the only SWB Mark VIII in existance. Someone posted on here about 6-12 months ago about another one that was blue I think.

Yes, I also hope this isn't just spam, I'm a little curious what the car goes for.

If you could, let us know the price it goes for (I don't go to Ebay often).

And if you would mention our club to the new owner, we are always looking for new Lincoln owners to join in, especially Custom Lincoln owners.:)

Nice job on the Mark. I can only imagine the amount of work put into the car.

Oh? I'd like to see that ?? since I built 6 of these things and know every internal piece, panel, spot weld, brace, structural support, inner rocker panel sectioning, exterior rocker, resizing, not to mention the complications involved with sectioning the qrt panels, roof panel, and renginering all the inner qrt and roof structural support panels, and then to make it look like it was never done!
WOW! I'm not saying nobody else can do it, but Dam I'd like to meet that guy and have a few beers and compare notes, because it is a mind boggling task to pull it off and have it come out right ! plus you need to build a jig platform to do it. So bring it and the guy who did it forward I'd like to buy him a couple rounds because I know the hell he went through and he is one hell of a craftsmen with tenacity!!

hey I understand the spam thing I get that stuff all the time as well, but you guys are talking with Doug Kielian the the guy who built all six of these cars, take a look at my web site www.autokraftnebraska.com to see the car being built, or even my new invention for restoring classics www.rollerhoop.com and call me tonight at my shop 402 474 2344 and ask me any question you can come up with. that might be a good test. Thanks
Doug

I'm not busting your chops.

You stated earlier that this was one-of-a-kind...now there are six. I'm willing to admit that you built the blue one we all saw some months before.

My hat's off to you sir.

Yes that's right ("one of") means it is one of very few, one of one means it is the only one, and I guess you could say it is one of one when your talking Mark VIII's, the other 5 were Thunderbirds, and yes you probably meant #005 a dark blue 89 T bird -SC. Mr davenport's beautiful car.
thank you for noticing the SWB cars.

No...sorry.

Some other guys here can attest to seeing a blue SWB Mark VIII from a few months back.

My photographic memory just enabled me to recall it sooner.

Ok! well we need to find it in (reality)? and the guy who built it, and check it out! let me know when you produce it. call me to let me know 402 474 2344 for I'm not on these sites that often.

Both Thomasma and i can attest to tthe fact that Doug is genuine and a gentleman of the first sort. I dropped in on him one Saturday out of the clear blue and received a tour of his shop and given access to a ton of info on the SWB cars.

Yes, I can remember Auto Doug coming here before giving us details a long long time ago about SWB Marks.

I wasn't going to say anything, but since you brought it up, why is a gentleman being rude to me solely because there is another SWB Mark VIII in existance that he apparently did not build?

It does exist, someone posted a pic of it a few months back, we all saw it and talked about it. Has everyone truly forgotten about it?

I spent about 30 minutes trying to find the thread, but it honestly isn't worth it at this point.

I remember seeing a lime green one on here a few months back but I might have missed the blue one. Theres also a Pewter/light brown one in existance. Longres isn't crazy :D

To Auto Doug : I dont see the point of coming onto a forum and argueing with one of the senior members. It's quite disrespectful to be honest. You DID say it was the only one in existance in your first post by the way. Just because you didn't build it doesn't mean it doesn't exist dude. Grow up dude. :fart

I would have to agree with you fellas that think it went for about the right dollar. But I can see Dougs side of the equasion too, after the blod sweat and tears of trial and error engineering that it took to build the thing. And Wayne, I know he feels possesive about the car it was his baby, and if you knew the whole SWB T-Bird story (and Mk8) and how he got shafted on the deal you might better understand. I dont remember seeing pics of another SWB Mark, but I believe it exists, because you say it does.
