Soo....someone assaulted Duke! :( *Graphic Pics, WARNING*

Wow, that was something, sure glad Duke is on the mend Sorry about his damaged eye sight though. What I great dog.
 
I was thinking about this the other night...I wonder if a rock from a car might have hit him if he was near the end of your driveway a car might have passed and kicked up a rock, I was hoping that maybe he got into a fight with another dog but he doesn't have another marks on him that I can see, and if someone did this on purpose then that guy needs to be shot in the eye so they can see what it feels like!
 
I doubt the ladder Matt, but you never know. I think it was human caused honestly....just have that feeling. I think someone will receive some bad carma from this one.
 
hows Duke feeling these days?? Let me just say your situation with Duke really hit me in the heart. Its just seams its pointing to human contack with an object or body and from the looks of Duke he dosn't apear to be a mean dog but like most labs a big puppy. I hopes hes feeling better keep us posted

PS. I told my wife what happend and shes concerned prob. more then I am Just today she asked hows Duke doin anyway keep us posted

I hope Duke is doing better, poor guy, people who would hurt a dog most likely will also hurt people as well. Karma will get them one day.
 
Hey everyone, thanks for the support! He's doing much better, but his eye isn't showing too many signs of having vision. Just today I told him to get his ball and he turned left(hurt eye direction) right into the garbage can and let out a huge yelp. :embarrassed:

Other than that, it kinda appears he may be starting to see some shadowing, for example, if I cover his good eye, his bad eye will flinch when I bring my hand towards it.

His eye is still completely white and cloudy though. I believe he meets with the eye doctor again on Tuesday so I'll keep you posted!

Thanks again....it still hurts to see my buddy this way. :frown-blue:
