This f***ing car has been a money pit for to long. I spent way too much last year just to get it back to safe running condition, and I've made the decision to cut my losses and walk away. With all I wanted to do to it this year, I added it all up and it's just stupid.

Since I'll never get out of it what I put into it, I'll be parting out what I can and the rest goes to the salvage yard. I'll be posting a big list in the parts forum in the near future as soon as I come up with an inventory of good parts (and there are plenty).

I know this is going to disappoint Jeremi the most, as he did so much work on the car last summer and I really feel like an assh0le for doing this. I should have listened to him when he suggested I get rid of it and buy one in better condition. Live and learn.

I've made so many friends through this site and the Mark VIII community in general, I don't intend for that to change. I'll still be hanging around here, but will only be an armchair enthusiast from now on.

You won't hold it against me then if I tell you that I've sold all the rust and corrosion free parts I was saving for you :mad:

Oh, and next time post it in the proper section of the forum. Do we even have a spot for this kind of crap ?

He has done this before. He totally fooled us all once by driving up in a rental proclaiming he hated MArk8's and sold his. We all believed him.
 
my recomendation is to end the pain quickly. Like a band aid. Bring it by and we wil give you $1000.

Well, it IS a money pit AND he's spent too much for it to not fly or give BJ's so maybe he's telling the truth.
 
Alright, after a long talk with Jeremi, I've decided to hold onto it for a while. We're gonna go all out and repaint it in yellow and add some custom air dams and a wing. I think it'll look awesome!

Come on guys, I had to at least try to make it sound somewhat believable. Most of what I said is basically true. Well, except the part about getting rid of it. By the way Mike, I never lied about that rental car. I never actually said I sold the Mark, you all just assumed I did. All I kept saying was that the new car was cheap and got good gas mileage, and you guys took it from there!

For some reason i like those fender skirts in front of the wheels on that hideous yellow beast. Kinda reminds me of my 79 Trans Am wheelwell skirts.
