I don't know how to really describe it except it sounds like when you turn the treble all the way down. This has been a problem on my past two Mark 8's with after market stereo's. I ran new wire for everything in both. It seemed like when I had the volume cranked the sound would become distorted. Sometimes it seemed like I could only hear my subs. I'm thinking the heat generated from the internal amp of the head unit was causing problems but I'm not sure. I'm curious what the impedance values are on the tweeter/woofer combination because I connected them in parallel in both cases. I'm not sure if the impedance is overloading the circuit.
