Squeak!!

I just took my 93' Mark VIII out after detailing it and when I turn the wheels it squeaks really bad from the passenger side front. It does'nt make any noise over bumps ect. I just got it a week ago and have put over 1000 miles on it,including a trip from St. Louis to Chicago and it did'nt do it then. It's lowered with a Strutmasters spring kit if that helps. It has a few other small problems that I'll be posting in different threads. You guys are a great help
THANKS!!!
P.S. I LOVE this car!!!

Does anyone else have an opinion? I'm thinking tie rod ends. It ONLY does it when I turn the wheels and only from the passenger side.I had already looked at mike's problem and mine sounds different. No clunks it just creaks and sqeaks when I turn the wheel. Suspension is totally silent when going over bumps. Thanks Bill and Matt

It's usually easier to just replace the lower control arm. It has a new ball joint and you get new control arm bushings too. The T Bird lower control arms are sometimes cheaper.

Have you looked at the balljoint yet? Often if it's worn enough to make noise, you'll see that the rubber grease boot is ripped or deteriorated.

I just crawled under it and had someone turn the wheels back and forth and it's definatly coming from the spindle area. gotta be the ball joint? It and all other bushings exept upper end link look great. Can I use vehicle weight to press joint in?

Hey guys thanks for all your help, Ibelieve I've got it all sorted out.The car also pulled to the right when braking so I'll replace the lower control arms too.I thought that was a braking issue. Also when buying the arms do I get the 97' T-Bird SC or regular ones? Oh and Driller...I was just testing you on the bright lights...of COURSE I knew to PUSH not PULL!!!! lol THANKS!!!
Dave

I'm pretty sure all the MN12 T Bird lower control arms fit. That's from about 93 ? to 97.
