squealing / whining on turn

It was a cold and wet night...

when suddenly the 94 mark started making a TERRIBLE whining / squeaking / squealing noise from the front end while turning. Even sitting still, turning the wheel to either side causes the noise.

Think, cheesy horror movie / haunted house basement door sound. But scarier becasue it's coming from UNDER THE CAR!!!

Any ideas?

I'd guess lower balljoints ready to fail. Check to see if the rubber boots are cracked.

thanks! 2 easy inspections - fluid, boots.

It's new, I should prolly check every fluid on the thing... even the blinker fluid and muffler coolant, you never know.

It "feels like" a fluid problem. Just intuition...

Naw, you never hear about a Mark running out of blinker fluid (it's a sealed system) and you should only worry about muffler coolant if you add Boost. LOL

I added 2 jars of Boost last week, and now my mufflers are running at 2800. Did I add it right?
