I know this has probably been covered a lot before but I have a question regarding the steering shaft modification for Cobra exhaust manifolds. I have the coupler the shaft 8 inch that has to be shortened half inch on each end and the Flaming River joint .I've seen pictures of the completed assembly and a picture underneath that of the stock rod assembly. There appears to be a a clip on the stock rod holding on the end is that part disregarded and in place a two inch dd slug fits into the end of the Flaming River join then the shaft slides through the black sleeve that is shortend and then the sleeve attaches 2 the 2" piece of dd.it hasn't been clear on the posts I've read made by Doug and Mike hey while ago. Does anybody have those 2 inch dd shafts or can somebody make me one?
