on my way back from blah blah blah, i was chasing a 5.0 mustang when we flew past a slammed prelude with big wheels. after the stang got off i was just cruising down the highway when i see these blue headlights gaining on me. i saw him get on my bumper so i floor it. we got up to 135+++ before i notice traffic closing in. i let off the gas and he flew by. i was kinda suprised he went around that quickly. we make our way through the traffic and had an open stretch ahead. i got up next to him and took off. got up to around 140 or so again and he was behind me the whole time slowly fading back. really suprised me. we run out of expressway and get onto us1 and the 1st light we hit, we decide to take our chances on the roads that had been rained on an hour or so earlier. light changes and i let on slowly to try and get as much traction as possible. i got on it a little prematurely and got a little sideways. i corrected myself and we cruised till we got to another light. i rolled down the window to let him know how suprised i was he kept up with me. he let me know that he just had an intake (dont know if i believe him, judging by how well he did). we decided to be stupid and try another race. same results when the light changed except he was next to me when my front end went lunging towards his car. i corrected, this time with my heart pounding faster than the last time and we decided to call it off.
this had to be the dumbest race ive ever been involved with and having this under my belt is gonna keep me slower on the slick roads. i doubt i wouldve had anything to do with this guy if he didnt suprise me so much on the highway.
stats: he was by himself in his car and there was no audible bass coming from his car. i was by myself in the car with my huge bag of hockey equipment and an overly large box with 2 twelves and 2 amps in the trunk. the usual.
id really like to find this guy on a nice dry night when im not going to or coming from hockey.
learn from my stupidity and dont take on someone with even slightly damp roads. ive got a good amount of tread on these tires and it made no difference.
