Suck, squeeze, bang, bust: the death of internal combustion

The internal combustion engine is very inefficient. Electric motors have instant torque, as soon as the get fast charging and long range batteries i would not mine having an electric car. I would only miss the sound of a combustion engine . :(

Battery technology has been holding back technology for decades despite the latest battery breakthroughs.

There is a documentary out there called who killed the electric car. It is about the GM EV1. Supposedly they show some guy that had invented battery technology back that that would have doubled the range to 300 miles. His company was bought out by Texaco and then they stopped making the batteries.
 
Conspiracy theory?

If there would ever be a true battery breakthrough, no amount of conspiracy could keep it under wraps. Electric vehicles are but a small portion of battery powered technology that would see the benefits.
